Media Accreditation
Application and conditions for media accreditation at Guyana Independence Celebration Committee New York Diamond Jubilee events in 2026.
Overview
Media accreditation is available for all official Diamond Jubilee events and is strictly for working media practitioners only.
Media is defined as journalists, photographers, broadcasters, and videographers who are currently working within the employ of, or under contract to, print and online newspapers, magazines, broadcast and internet radio stations, and broadcast and online television shows.
Unaffiliated photographers, videographers, and bloggers may purchase a special unaffiliated media pass where applicable.
Who Qualifies
- Journalists, photographers, broadcasters, and videographers currently employed by or under contract to recognized news organizations.
- Print and online newspapers, magazines, broadcast television, internet radio, and online television outlets.
Who Does Not Qualify
- Photographers using smartphones and tablets as their sole recording device (unless cleared in advance by the PR sub-committee).
- Photography studios, image banks, personal websites, blogs, Instagram, and Facebook pages not affiliated with recognized media outlets.
- Individuals seeking passes solely for commercial photography or personal promotion.
Terms & Conditions
- All traditional and electronic recording or taping of official events must be done with the express permission of the Committee and used only for entertainment and/or news media purposes.
- Selling of images taken at any event is not permitted.
- Live-streaming and pay-per-view servicing is not permitted without prior Committee approval.
- Any recording, photograph, or documentation used in any other capacity constitutes unlawful use unless agreed to in advance by the Committee.
- Accredited photographers and videographers are solely responsible for obtaining relevant releases from event participants where necessary.
- Photographers and videographers must indicate all equipment to be used. A cell phone is not considered professional photography equipment unless cleared with the PR sub-committee.
- Accreditation for the Diamond Jubilee Gala may incur a service fee.
