Flag raising Ceremony      “Displaying unflagging Patriotism”

Guyanese from across the New York Tri-State will assemble for a formal ceremony to raise the National Flag of Guyana – the Golden arrow Head – to replicate the similar manner in which it was raised 49 years ago, when the Union Jack was lowered and the Golden Arrowhead was hoisted. The ceremony will include speeches, musical renditions and a color guard comprising members of the Disciplined Forces of Guyana as well as Guyanese members of the US Armed Forces.
